69th Session of UNECE Timber Committee and 36th European Forestry Commission kicks off in Antalya

The meeting, held in Kemer, Antalya, was attended by 270 participants from Turkey and different countries. Following the Turkish folk dancing and slideshow on forestry in Turkey, the meeting was kicked off by the opening speech delivered by Dr. Ahmet İpek, head of Training and Research Department, Foreign Relations. During the meeting, state of forests in Europe, action for forest sector in a green economy, the review of forestry sector in Europe, forest products annual market reviews, and several issues on agenda were addressed An art exhibition depicting Turkish forestry, which is to be open during the meeting, was organized.
